The cross is one of the most dramatic moments in human history, because God, who had willingly taken on human form, also willingly gave His life as the ransom for sin. It defies human understanding! Yet, even more monumental is what happened three days later, because the perfect Son of God was resurrected and appeared to His disicples...to numerous people...too many to be denied!
So, as Christians, we are People of the Resurrection! Our hope lies in the fact that death no longer has any power over us, because of the faithfulness of our Savior and our relationship with Him.
Paul described it well in Romans 6:8-10:
